“The last five years has been pretty safe,” says “Extra” host Billy Bush while discussing his decision to jump into the Sir Lion costume on “The Masked Singer.” “You do the same thing, you come into the studio, it’s a real comfort zone. I thought, I love to sing. I’m singing around the office all the time. But this is a great way to step out of the comfort zone and just try something crazy!” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.

As Sir Lion, Bush sang “Love and Marriage” on “TV Theme Night.” After landing in the bottom two with Lizard, he was sent packing after they dueled it out with the “Masked Singer” theme song “Who Are You?” Panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora couldn’t figure out his identity, guessing Anderson Cooper, Seth Meyers, Ryan Seacrest and Andy Cohen, respectively.

The entertainment insider dove into some trending topics including the recent allegation and home raids on music mogul P. Diddy. “He is in the United States,” Bush confirms. “He’s not been apprehended, he still has freedom to move. His spokespeople keep saying he’s the victim of a vicious witch hunt.” The host continues, “What we’re hearing today is a former producer of his is claiming that he’s got hidden cameras all over the house.” One major concern from celebrities might be who is seen doing what on all these cameras. “It’s like the Epstein list! Who’s on it?”

“Then you’ve got the angle of his sworn enemy, 50 Cent, who is the Donald Trump of rap and hip-hop,” Bush continues. “He’s celebrating like a one-man Greek chorus. He claims Puffy knows who shot The Notorious B.I.G. and that’s where it started. Then the mother of 50 Cent’s son is an Onlyfans person now, but she alleged that she was one of the sex workers hired by Puffy. So, that relationship is very strained and 50 is just punching and counter-punching like crazy. He is the Donald Trump of the music world. He hits and hits and hits. He’s celebrating!”

We also discussed Kate Middleton‘s recent revelation that she’s been diagnosed with cancer. “I think the palace and the palace communications team did a disservice to her because they let so many breadcrumbs go. They really could have been more transparent from the beginning and saved everybody a little pain and anguish and embarrassment.”
