Another week gone, another New Music Friday with new releases to add to your playlists, and this week is a pretty big one if we do say so ourselves.

If you have been anticipating Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft ever since the star flaunted her tattoo teasing the title back in December of 2023, the wait is over! And so is it for ZAYN stans. This is also a big week for fictional band enthusiasts as Prime Video has released the music video for “Guard Down” from The Idea of You, a.k.a. the ultimate guilty pleasure.

If you are tired of new songs, Sabrina Carpenter and Troye Sivan got you covered with a handful of remixes for their tracks “Espresso” and “Honey," respectively, while the Omars — that is, Omar Apollo and Omar Rudberg — have some heartwrenching new singles out. There's also new stuff from the likes of Saweetie, NCT's Mark, ITZY, and even Miley Cyrus.

Below, check out the best new tracks and albums of the week to update your weekend playlists.

Billie Eilish, Hit Me Hard and Soft

After plenty of teasers and sneak peeks at Coachella, Billie Eillish's third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, has finally arrived with a total of 10 tracks. To celebrate the launch, Eilish threw a listening party in NYC. The album is set to be a major one for Eilish and also the pillar for her upcoming world tour of the same name.

ZAYN, Room Under the Stairs

Another highly anticipated album comes by way of ZAYN's Room Under the Stairs, the fourth studio album from the British crooner comprising 15 tracks. “I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being. My ambitions, my fears… and for them to have a connection with that. And that’s why it’s so raw, you know, it’s just me writing this. I didn’t want anybody else to be in between me and the music and the people listening to it," ZAYN had previously explained about the project.

Troye Sivan and Mura Masa, Honey

Following the success of his 2023 album Something to Give Each Other, which contained hit tracks “Rush” and “One of Your Girls,” Troye Sivan has teamed up with Guernsey-born producer Mura Masa to put out not one, not two, but three remixes of his song “Honey,” packaged in a nifty EP called, you guessed it, Honey.

Sabrina Carpenter, Espresso

If you thought three remixes were a lot, you need a word with Sabrina Carpenter. Fresh off her 25th birthday, the singer has released five new versions of her instantly viral hit “Espresso,” aptly referred to as “Double Shot,” “On Vacation,” “Decaf,” “Mochapella,” and “Espressooooo.”

August Moon, “Guard Down”

This song is not new, as it premiered earlier this month with The Idea of You, but the music video is so it deserved a little mention. Yes, this is the actual “Guard Down” music video Anne Hathaway's character, Solène, watches during the movie. It seeds a couple more clicks until it reaches the billion and a half views it boasts in the movie. Gotta love a fictional band music video.

Omar Apollo, “Dispose of Me”

After announcing his sophomore studio album, God Said No, Omar Apollo has released the forlorn “Dispose of Me," a complete 180 from his latest single, “Spite.” “Y’all said you were ready to cry, so here you go,” Apollo wrote on Instagram, plugging the track, which he confirmed it's the second single from the album.

Omar Rudberg, “Red Light”

Omar Apollo is not the only Omar with new music this week. With first love as his main inspiration, Young Royals star Omar Rudberg has released the ballad “Red Light," marking his official return to music. “‘Red Light’ is a bittersweet song that’s very emotional to me. I feel like this song marks a new era. It's very different from everything else I’ve released. It's the introduction to what is coming," the star shared in a press release.

ITZY, “Algorhythm”

After wrapping up the Europen leg of their Born To Be world tour and before heading back stateside with the show, K-pop girl group ITZY have released a new Japanese single, “Algorhythm,” with a music video featuring kitschy aesthetics galore.

Mark, “200”

NCT member Mark might be on the road with NCT DREAM's The Dream Show 3: Dream()scape world tour, but he also made sure to hit up the studio for solo single “200,” which follows up 2022's “Child" and 2023's “Golden Hour.”

Saweetie, “NANi”

Saweetie is getting ready for summer with her new single "NANi” and a new pink hair. “[This] isn't just a track; it's the soundtrack to a good time,” the singer said of the track in a press release. “This track gives main character energy! This single has been a labor of love, and it’s just the beginning. I’ve been working on this new music for a while, and I’m excited to share more of this journey with you.”

Miley Cyrus, “Psycho Killer”

After much chatter online, Miley Cyrus's cover of Talking Heads's classic song “Psycho Killer" has finally arrived. The song is part of A24 Music's compilation album Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, which also includes covers of “Burning Down the House,” “Found a Job, and ”Girlfriend Is Better," among others, by the likes of Paramore, The Linda Lindas, and Girl in Red.
