Big Freedia to headline 2024 New Orleans Pridefest

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans bounce artist Big Freedia is set to headline this year’s New Orleans Pridefest.

Pridefest organizers made the announcement on Wednesday, April 24.

According to a news release, Big Freedia headlined the festival in 2019 and will return to the main stage in 2024 on Saturday, June 8.

Organizers said New Orleans Pridefest is held annually on the Saturday of Pride weekend in the 2200 block of North Rampart Street, the 1000 block of Marigny Street and the Marigny Roberts parking lot.

The fun will feature food, drinks, vendors and performances from “entertainers from the LGBTQ community and its allies, celebrating the LGBTQ movement and its fight for equality.”

The release states performances at the mainstage will start at 11 a.m., and close out with Big Freedia.
