Ben Affleck Was a Dutiful Boyfriend to Jennifer Lopez During Her NYC Press Day

Jennifer Lopez had a big press day in New York City for her new rom-com Marry Me, and her boyfriend Ben Affleck came along to support her. While Lopez was photographed by herself in the morning, Affleck came with her to the NBC building at the end of the day. Both matched in black and tan outfits. Affleck, the dutiful boyfriend he is, carried bags and held her hand as they exited their car.
Lopez spoke to People in an extensive interview about how much she thinks of Affleck and how in love they are, nearly a year into their rekindled romance. “I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him,” she said.
“It’s beautiful the way it feels very different than it was years ago. ... There’s more of an appreciation and a celebration for it, which is nice,” she added. “When you find somebody and you really, really love them and you get a second chance at that? That is a really rare, precious, beautiful thing and we don’t take it for granted.”
As for Affleck himself, Lopez has nothing but high praise. “I’m so proud of him, I’m so proud of the man he’s become that I’ve watched from afar,” she said. “Being honest with each other, being loving, that’s just the basis of everything. I feel like he’s at a place in his life where—just like how I feel about myself—it’s been a journey of learning yourself and figuring yourself out, getting to a place where you feel really good on your own and who you are so you can be in a happy, healthy relationship.”
