“The Beach Boys,” a documentary about the iconic band, is now streaming Disney+.

The doc is described as “a celebration of the legendary band that revolutionized pop music and the iconic, harmonious sound they created that personified the California dream, captivating fans for generations and generations to come.”

“The Beach Boys” includes never-before-seen footage and new interviews with band members Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, David Marks and Bruce Johnston, as well as music stars like Lindsey Buckingham, Janelle Monáe, Ryan Tedder and Don Was. Former members Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar are also participating, and the late Carl and Dennis Wilson will be heard from in archival interviews.

Directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny, “The Beach Boys” was written by Mark Monroe and produced by Kennedy/Marshall and White Horse Pictures. Producers include Marshall, Irving Azoff, Nicholas Ferrall, Jeanne Elfant Festa and Aly Parker. Executive producers are Nigel Sinclair, Mark Monroe, Tony Rosenthal, Cassidy Hartmann, Glen Zipper, Thom Zimny, Beth Collins, Jimmy Edwards, Susan Genco, Marc Cimino, Jody Gerson, Bruce Resnikoff and Ben J. Murphy.

The documentary’s soundtrack is also available to stream alongside the film’s premiere today. Coinciding with the doc’s debut, the Beach Boys’ 1964 album “Shut Down Vol. 2” will be released on limited edition blue-and-white marble vinyl on March 29. The group’s official book, “The Beach Boys by the Beach Boys,” will also be released on April 2 via Genesis Publications.

Disney+ recently released Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” movie on streaming, which set a new record with 4.6 million views on the platform in its first three days. The streamer also released Peter Jackson’s Beatles docuseries “Get Back” in 2021, and the 1970 “Let It Be” documentary earlier this year.
