Baron Corbin Drafted To SmackDown, WWE Announces Supplemental WWE Draft Picks

Baron Corbin is returning to WWE SmackDown.

Following the first night of the WWE Draft on the April 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE announced several supplemental picks on social media.

WWE RAW selected Ivar, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark. As for SmackDown, the blue brand selected Baron Corbin, Cedric Alexander, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and The O.C. (Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Michin).

This brings Baron Corbin back to SmackDown after he had a prominent run in NXT. He and Bron Breakker won the NXT Tag Team Championship together. Axiom and Nathan Frazer dethroned the duo on the April 9 episode of NXT. Lexis King then defeated Corbin on the April 23 episode.

Corbin has not had a televised match on the main roster since June 2023, when he lost to Butch on the June 9 episode of SmackDown.
