'Bachelorette' tattoo twist: Former cast member regifted Ali Fedotowsky tattoo to his wife

Kasey Kahl gained notoriety on Season 6 of The Bachelorette when he got a tattoo to prove to Ali Fedotowsky that he was sincere, and that he would always “guard and protect her heart.” On Monday’s The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!, he revealed he still has got the ink 10 years later and it’s better than ever.

Kasey shocked Ali and the other suitors back in 2010 when he revealed he got a large tattoo of a shield and rose on his wrist. At the time he explained, “I’ve got the shield protecting the heart and I’ve got the rose because, you know what, no matter what happens I want to guard and protect her heart.”

Kasey still has the tattoo, but it has been slightly modified. “I got my wife and I’s anniversary day, wedding anniversary, which is coming up on five years, right above the tattoo,” said Kasey proudly. “Now it means even more to me than I could imagine, so I’m very thankful for it.”

Many fans could not believe Kasey still had the tattoo and modified it for his wife.

Ali appeared later on the program, but when asked about the tattoo she admitted it pales in comparison to another gift Kasey gave her.

“It’s funny, the tattoo I don’t remember as much, it’s the singing I really remember,” said the former Bachelorette. She was referring to the impromptu song that Kasey sang to her after they went on a helicopter ride together.

“The only thing I was thinking was, anything I could get into my head to not laugh,” she told Chris Harrison. “Like, ‘Just don’t laugh. Take deep breaths. Just don’t laugh.’”

Kasey is happily married to Amanda Kahl and they have a beautiful baby boy named Kiptyn.

The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
