'Bachelorette' Contestant Josh Murray Addresses Breakup on 'Steve Harvey'

Former Bachelorette contestant Josh Murray sat down with Steve Harvey for his first television interview since his breakup with former Bachelor contestant Amanda Stanton. The two met and were engaged on the most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise. Murray said, “In this relationship, I definitely take fault for continuing something and not being happy, when I know I should walk away.”

The two have had a bitter breakup. In an interview with E! News, Stanton said that Murray was “extremely controlling.”

These are not the first claims of this kind about him; Murray’s ex-fiancée and former Bachelorette contestant Andi Dorfman also said in her book that Murray was controlling — as well as verbally abusive.

About his breakup with Stanton, Murray said, “I may have made mistakes before, and being passive aggressive with a tweet or saying something, but I don’t like airing my dirty laundry.”

He also said the accusations have affected his love life. Murray said, “I feel hopeless. People are judging me based on what others are saying, so I don’t know what to do or how to handle it.”
