The song has been co-written and co-produced by Telanova’s Ed Quinn. The song is quite nostalgic and takes the listeners to a night, where the party has just ended and the music plays quietly and loneliness sets in.

“We refined the structure and added new elements to take the song to the next level. It was a collaborative effort that brought a real effortless groove to the production”. Ayla shared the process through which she and Quinn passed through and came up with this melody.

The song “I Liked You Better When You Were on My Side.” represents the personal growth of the singer, Ayla. Her resilience has been portrayed through the song and her musical evolution was quite evident in the song. The song gives off the spirit of moving forward while cherishing the memories made.
