Avril Lavigne hits the red carpet in ripped Green Day shirt: 'She does not age a single day'

Avril Lavigne dressed accordingly to honour one of her "all-time favourite" bands at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Earlier this week, the 39-year-old hit the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to present pop punk legends Green Day with the prestigious Landmark Award. On Tuesday, the Canadian "Sk8er Boi" singer shared her admiration for the band with a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a mix of photos and a video from the event.
In the snaps, Lavigne posed on the red carpet alongside the band members, Tré Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt, wearing a cropped and ripped Green Day T-shirt paired with black parachute pants.
While presenting the band their award, Lavigne dubbed Green Day's 1994 album "Dookie" an "essential album of the '90s and a punk rock masterpiece."
Her Instagram caption echoed her sentiments: "Congrats [Green Day] on receiving the Landmark Award at The [iHeart Radio] Awards last night. Your influence runs deep and is forever etched in rock history!"
Fans met Lavigne's post with applause and praised Lavigne's "timeless beauty" in the comments.

Last month, fans swooned over Lavigne's edgy, pop-punk inspired look as she hit the Oscar party circuit to attend the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 32nd annual Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood.
Lavigne stepped onto the red carpet alongside Vetements creative director, Guram Gvasalia, in a sheer, black long-sleeve fitted lace mermaid gown from Vetements that featured built-in lace gloves. She paired the dress with black platform booties, mermaid waves and a heavy punk-inspired smokey eye.
Lavigne shared outfit details from the event to Instagram with the caption "Last night."
Paris Hilton sounded off in in the comment section with a lovestruck emoji, while another Instagram user penned: "Girl, you do not age. It's actually insane. This look is incredible. You're unreal. I love that you never change your style. Truly authentic."
