PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) — Fans of Nickelodeon’s beloved “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series will have the chance to relive Aang’s adventures through a two-hour live orchestral performance this year.

According to the show’s website, ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert’ brings “the show’s iconic musical score to life” and is composed and arranged by Emmy Award-winning composer and musician Jeremy Zuckerman.

Zuckerman — who was behind the series’ original music — collaborated with original “Avatar: The Last Airbender” editor Jeff Adams to bring the concert to audiences.

“From epic action scenes to heartfelt emotional moments, Jeremy’s score was an integral part of Avatar’s storytelling. To hear his music live with an orchestra will be a truly special experience,” Michael Dante DiMartino, co-creator of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra,” said in a news release about the concert.

The music — which features taiko, erhu along with violins and clarinets — “magnifies the epic scope and high drama,” of the show, according to live entertainment company GEALive.

“Jeremy’s music is one of the most crucial ingredients in Avatar, providing the emotional backbone to the characters’ arcs and capturing the spirit of Aang’s world. We are so excited to celebrate his beautiful and exciting compositions with fans and relive all the iconic moments together through these live performances,” series co-creator Bryan Konietzko said.

The show’s tour will return to North America this September after a summer run in Europe. It will kick off on September 16 in Tempe, Arizona, then travel to cities across the U.S., including one stop in Pennsylvania.

That performance will take place at The Met Philadelphia and will presented by Highmark on October 9. Tickets are available for presale now.

In addition to the Philadelphia date, the tour will also two stops in Red Bank and Newark, New Jersey on October 10 and 13, as well as one in Baltimore, Maryland on October 16.
