Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato Have a New Joint Doppelgänger After a Teen's Pride Photo Goes Viral

"I actually love everything about both women and what they stand for."

As 18-year-old Samantha Rodriguez attended an LGBTQ+ Pride parade in Houston, Texas, last weekend, a friend took a photo of her decked out in glitter and rainbow attire, as one does at Pride. Her photo, however, ended up going viral on social media for an un-Pride-related reason: people think she looks like the hypothetical daughter of Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato.

Nearly 30,000 people have liked Samantha's original tweet, with many pointing out in replies that she looks somehow like both Ariana and Demi. Sample comments include one user mashing up two songs from the pop artists, saying, "No tears left to be sober- Demi Grande" and one expressing some envy: "how is it fair that your literally a combination of the two most beautiful people on the planet."

In a DM interview with Teen Vogue, Samantha shared that while she's been compared to Ariana frequently in the past, the Demi addition was a new one. "I’ve gotten the comment about Ariana quite a lot actually," she told Teen Vogue. "The Demi comparison was kind of random, I’m assuming because of my chin. I personally don’t see the resemblance to either so all of the attention I’ve gotten is so wild to me."

She added, "People have been reaching out to me on all platforms explaining how crazy it is that I can look like two celebrities in one. I've been called Demi and Ari's baby so many times now."

Luckily, Samantha is a fan of both artists, and appreciates the doppelgänger comparison. "I actually love everything about both women and what they stand for," she said. "They also happen to be extremely gorgeous so to be able to be compared to them both is really an amazing feeling." She also tweeted, "Demi is actually one of my biggest celeb crushes."
