Appalachian Paranormal Arts and Culture Collective coming to the Raleigh Playhouse and Theater

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The Appalachian Paranormal Arts and Culture Collective is hosting its inaugural event in celebration of cryptids, oddities, spirits and more.

Haunted Beckley and the Charleston Ghost Tour Company will bring the Appalachian Paranormal Arts and Culture Collective to the Raleigh Playhouse and Theater on Saturday, May 11, 2024. The event will feature local artists and their interpretations of paranormal themes, with jewelry and crafts inspired by the mysterious and unknown.

Discussions pertaining to folklore, the paranormal and supernatural, as well as cryptozoology will take place, and attendees may enjoy presentations from a variety of guests. These guests include author of “West Virginia Ghost Stories, Legends and Haunts,” Jannette Quackenbush, author, podcaster and paranormal investigator Dan Terry, and host of Paranormal Road Trippin’ with Brie and Remotely Paranormal, Brie Holingshead

We have amazing artists offering everything from custom crafted magic wants and jewelry to coloring books and healing teas, along with presentations from Appalachian Folklorists and authors.

The event will be held on Saturday May 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Raleigh Playhouse and Theater. General admission is $10, while children under age 10 are free. A paranormal investigation and ghost tour will be offered by Haunted Beckley later in the evening for an added charge.
