Anya Taylor-Joy Is a Total Rock Star in This Strappy Studded LBD

Anya Taylor-Joy’s heart may belong to Dior, but whenever she switches things up, we love to see the result.
On Tuesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas to promote her forthcoming blockbuster film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the Golden Globe–winning star wore a grunge-y leather look that would certainly make her biker gang-hanging titular character proud.
The strappy black design, which hailed from the Ludovic de Saint Sernin Fall/Winter ’24 Ready-to-Wear collection, looked like one extremely long studded belt that had been wrapped around Taylor-Joy’s body multiple times. Up top, the piece snaked around the actor’s neck in a halter style, while another strip dangled across the star’s legs at the bottom. Otherwise, the body-hugging design was composed of bands that were stitched tightly together, with the thread weaving through silver grommets that pierced the entire dress.
To match the gothic aesthetic, Taylor-Joy added a pair of inky stiletto heels, and she donned thick black eye makeup up top. She kept her hair tied up in a bun, and she went sans jewelry (besides a singular silver ring), letting the rockstar dress speak for itself.
The Queen’s Gambit actor has really been embracing black with her latest looks. Following the Oscars, Taylor-Joy attended the after-party in a custom velvet Miss Sohee dress, which featured long, opera glove sleeves and a lacy bra in the shape of a butterfly—all in black. She also donned a silver crystal headpiece that featured giant pearl drop accessories dangling from the sides. Meanwhile, she was recently spotted on a date night with husband Malcolm McRae, where she wore an all-black ’fit, including a turtleneck midi dress, coordinated coat, and heels.
