Anya Taylor-Joy set the tone for the press tour of her latest film, "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," at its Australian premiere on Thursday with a show-stopping look from the Paco Rabanne archives.

The actor wore a chainmail mini dress from the brand's Haute Couture Spring 1996 collection, created by Mr. Rabanne himself. It's made out of a mix of metal and plastic shapes, delicately linked together using jump rings, to create a sort of high-fashion armor. Dart-like ornaments protrude at almost every corner, as if Taylor-Joy had been struck by dozens of Cupid's arrows. Not one to shy away from a fashion moment, the 28-year-old wore the accompanying headpiece, adorned with several of the same projecting pointed embellishments. Naturally, her footwear choice was more minimal: nude PVC slingback sandals by Aquazzura.

If Taylor-Joy is pulling out a one-of-a-kind piece like this for a movie premiere in Sydney, one can only imagine what she may have up her sleeve for the rest of the red carpets on this tour — and maybe even the upcoming Met Gala.
