As one fashionable press tour ends, another begins. So it was with Margot Robbie’s Barbie-core red-carpet run, and then Zendaya’s shifts with Dune: Part Two and Challengers. Now, the baton passes to Anya Taylor-Joy, who is entering the spotlight ahead of the release of the Mad Max prequel, Furiosa, with sartorial aplomb.
Alongside costar Chris Hemsworth, Taylor-Joy attended a photocall in Sydney today dressed to the nines—thanks to an incredible one-shoulder gown plucked straight from Rick Owens’s Spring 2024 collection.
The dress features a draped asymmetric top the color of burnt umber, primly tucked into a high-rise trumpet leather skirt with a train awash in a rusty red hue. The gown perfectly embodies the dystopian desert vibes emulated throughout the Mad Max franchise (a fact perhaps made clearer by the shirtless and makeup clad gang of dancers posing behind the star?).
As an ambassador for Tiffany & Co., Taylor-Joy repped the luxury brand with a few major jewelry pieces, from a glistening gold arm cuff to diamond-embellished chain earrings.
When Taylor-Joy first touched down in Sydney, she soft launched her Furiosa press tour wardrobe with an airport fit that leaned a tad bit more casual. This consisted of a unique sleeveless turtleneck blouse, with the top half featuring ribbed knit and the bottom half featuring a billowing see-through mesh. She styled this with gray twill pleated trousers from Reformation, a black pair of Maison Margiela’ss leather tabi loafers, and black oval-shaped sunglasses from Dior.
