Another Trump split: Tiffany Trump and Ross Mechanic call it quits

While Don Trump Jr.’s divorce plays out in the news, his younger half-sister, Tiffany Trump, has also quietly ended her relationship.

The law student daughter of Marla Maples and President Trump quietly ended her two-year relationship with Ross Mechanic in the fall, according to Us Weekly. The pair had a “cordial” split, an insider told the magazine, adding, “She’s taking law school seriously.”

While Tiffany, who is at Georgetown Law School, made no formal announcement of her split, it has been pretty evident to people who follow the couple on social media. The last photo she posted of Mechanic, whom she met as an undergrad at University of Pennsylvania, was back in July.

As for Mechanic, well, he slid his Instagram profile to private last September — around the time Trump moved to D.C. But people who were following him before that noticed that he spent Valentine’s Day with someone else. He posted a story in which he was kissing a woman named Carly Berns. He’s posted other photos of her, often with emoji hearts. (Berns is reportedly a 22-year-old member of New York University’s class of 2018 who works in public relations and marketing. Her Instagram profile is set to private as well.)

According to the Washington Post, which has been tracking this relationship with great seriousness, Tiffany hasn’t liked any of Mechanic’s posts since Nov. 24.

The college sweethearts were serious enough that Mechanic accompanied Tiffany to the Republican National Convention in the early days of her father’s candidacy. She also brought him to her father’s inauguration in January 2017. While he didn’t sit with her on the dais, he was spotted walking with her into the swearing-in ceremony. That night, he also attended the inaugural Armed Services Ball at the National Building Museum. In April, he was spotted with Tiffany descending the stairs of Air Force One — around the time he accompanied the Trump family to Easter services at Mar-a-Lago resort.

As noted, they fell for each other in college — and she first popped up on his Instagram feed in October 2015. They struck a pose in front of a sign reading, “I’m here for a good time for a long time.” His dad is Jonathan Mechanic, who happens to be the top lawyer in the real estate department of the firm Fried Frank. (In other words, Ross’s and Tiffany’s fathers are in the same business.) While he just graduated last May, he previously interned as a data engineer at Cadre, a real-estate investment startup co-founded by — wait for it — Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump.

A spokesperson for the Trump family has not yet responded to Yahoo’s request for comment on the breakup. Neither has Mechanic.

Democrats Agree on One Thing: They're Very, Very Nervous

steve: A good Democratic Candidate would point out that welfare, food stamps, cell phones, and other entitlements were meant for people that can not work, are disabled to the point they can not work, elderly people over 65, or people that have lost their jobs and are currently looking for employment. They would also point out that the Government has a responsibility to train our workforce into skills needed in our workplace. The Government would help people feel good about themselves by providing work to people that are on subsistence that can work by letting them work in the community where they live so that they are giving back to the citizens that pay into the support system while they look for other employment. The Candidate would point out that serving in our Military is an honor and that people that serve will get benefits once there enlistment period is up if they serve honorably. That citizens the volunteer at community outreach centers, be it for the elderly or disabled will be rewarded with praise for serving their fellow citizens. That the people of this country need to rise up and reclaim their standing in the world as the most educated, most productive people on earth. That being an American means something. That our country will protect its citizens at home and abroad and that they are special.
