Anne Hathaway agrees that Andy Sachs' wardrobe was in much need of a makeover.

As a part of Vanity Fair’s interview series "Scene Selection," the Oscar winner, 41, looked back at her iconic films, including The Devil Wears Prada, which also stars Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. And while doing so, she had some fun reminiscing over the film's iconic outfits.

“Just look at my wonderful costume,” she jokingly said while watching the scene in which her character Andy, dressed in a dowdy outfit, encounters glam "Runway" editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (played by Streep) for the first time.

“I know the costumes wind up becoming more glamorous, but I have to say that is post-grad frump gorgeousness,” she continued, remembering that the corduroy jacket “felt like the right choice” but the “bruised lilac” sweater wasn’t the most “flattering."

When Streep popped up on the screen, Hathaway gasped and had to pause the clip to take in the actress’ ensemble.

“Look at that wig. Oh my god [it was done by makeup artist] J. Roy Helland, who is the next level at his craft,” she said of Streep’s transformation into the "Runway" boss.

Hathaway also recounted the way she admired her legendary costar while filming. “I was there the first time Meryl walked into that set and I saw the way she respected the work of our production designer, but also crafted it into something that felt more the way she saw the character. I was such a sponge around her, I just wanted to absorb everything the way she did.”

Although Hathaway admitted that she hadn’t watched The Devil Wears Prada in nearly two decades (the classic is turning 18 this June), she told Vanity Fair that the 2006 dramedy, directed by Daniel Frankel, had a “magnetic quality” to it that instantly drew her to it, even though she never knew it was going to leave “such a legacy” on pop culture.

Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reunite at the 2024 SAG Awards

Recently, Hathaway, Streep and Blunt reunited on the 2024 SAG Awards stage to present the award for male actor in a comedy series.

The trio slipped into their roles as it no time has passed and were dressed the part too! Blunt sizzled in a red Louis Vuitton gown that her character, Emily Charlton, would commend, while Hathaway wore a cerulean blue Versace design, a nod to the iconic scene in which Miranda elegantly scolds Andy for her sartorial naivete. Streep fittingly wore a sheer maroon Prada dress with a train and sparkly embellishments.
