Andy Cohen Feels ‘Terrible’ After Taking His Daughter Lucy’s Advice & It Proves Toddlers Are Out to Get Us

Toddlers mean well, but they aren’t so great at thinking things through. Like when they jump in a puddle, then cry that their clothes got all wet or eat too many Reese’s and then get a tummy ache. So when your toddler makes a suggestion and you take their advice, the consequences are on you! Andy Cohen learned this the hard way recently. The Bravo TV host revealed he feels “terrible” after doing what his 2-year-old daughter Lucy suggested, and we can’t stop laughing.

“Lucy, it’s raining out really bad. Am I going to go to the gym?” he asks in a clip on his Instagram story, turning to his daughter sitting next to him on the couch offscreen.

“No gym!” she says in the cutest little voice. Hmm … if you’re asking if you should go to the gym, it’s clear you’re already trying to get out of it. So it’s no wonder that he decides to listen to his daughter!

Cohen tagged his trainer in the video, saying, “this may be your warning” that he’s not coming. He asks his daughter again: “So, should I go to the gym?”

“No gym!” she repeats over and over, like the adorable de-motivational speaker she is.

“Well, she’s my adviser,” he says, panning over to show Lucy looking so cute. How can you argue with that?! Apparently, Cohen doesn’t. In another video, the Watch What Happens Live host is now sitting in his office in front of the window. “It is pouring out, thundering. You can’t see out,” he says. “Lucy made the right call.”

He adds, “Maybe I’ll do a push-up at home.” Love the effort!

Even though he tried to convince us (and himself) that skipping the gym was for the best, it didn’t take long for Cohen to regret it. The last video is captioned, “12 minutes later ….” Cohen sighs and says, “OK, now the rain stopped, and I feel terrible for not going to the gym.”

“Moral of the story, I guess, put on a raincoat,” he adds. Poor Cohen! I mean, it was 100% his own fault, but still. We’ve all been there!

Lucy turned 2 in April, and Cohen posted the cutest photo of his little girl to mark the occasion. “Lucy is Two!” he wrote on Instagram. “It is so exciting getting to know my daughter; she’s a smart, funny sweetheart who surprises me every day.”

Cohen, who is also dad to 4-year-old son Ben, continued, “And the female energy Lucy is shining all over this house is welcome and needed! It’s getting really fun over here!”

Toddlers definitely know how to bring the fun — you just gotta balance it out by listening to your own intuition too, or else your whole life (or, at least, your gym routine) will fall apart!
