Andy Cohen announces he is expecting a baby via surrogate

This holiday season is extra special for Andy Cohen, who announced on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that he is expecting a baby, via surrogate.

Cohen kept the reveal until the end of the final live show of the season. He primed his news by saying, “I have always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life. I overshare, and I expect everyone around me to do the same.”

Many fans worried that Cohen was about to announce he was leaving the show, but instead he said, “Tonight I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks’ time I am going to become a father.

“Family means everything to me,” Cohen added. “Having one of my own is something that I have wanted in my heart for my entire life.”

Fans immediately flocked to social media to congratulate the beloved host and producer. Of course, many of the stars of his super-successful Housewives series chimed in.

A misty-eyed Cohen finished by saying, “I cannot wait for what I envision will be the most rewarding chapter yet — so happy holidays and happy new year to all of you.”

Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen airs Sundays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. on Bravo.
