Adria Arjona is teasing a “complex” character journey for Bix Caleen in Andor Season 2.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, Arjona teased what the future may have in store for her Andor character in the upcoming second season of the Disney+ Star Wars series.

“I think [creator] Tony Gilroy’s writing is so smart that wherever people think my character’s journey is going to go, it’s ten times more complex than what people imagine,” Arjona said.

What do we know about Andor Season 2?

Andor Season 2 started filming in November 2022; however, production was suspended in 2023 because of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes. Filming then resumed in January 2024 before production wrapped a month later.

Like the first season, the second and final episode of Andor will consist of 12 episodes, the final three of which will be set just days before the events of 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Along with Arjona, the cast of Andor Season 2 includes Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero, Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz, Elizabeth Dulau as Kleya Marki, James McArdle as Timm Karlo, and Muhannad Bhaier as Wilmon. Benjamin Bratt will also play in an undisclosed role in the new season.

The first season of Andor premiered on Disney+ in September 2022. It was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Benjamin Caron for “Rix Road”) and Outstanding Writing for Drama Series (Beau Willimon for “One Way Out”).

Andor Season 2 does not have an official release date at this time. The first season, meanwhile, is currently streaming on Disney+.
