Warm Up for 'Miss America' With These 'AFV' Pageant Fails

With the Miss America Competition airing Sunday, we thought we’d offer the contestants a last-minute look at what could go wrong while they’re competing for the crown — in the form of this delightful compilation of pageant-and-formal-wear fails from our friends at America’s Funniest Home Videos. (Spoiler alert: You’re about to watch a lot of people fall off the runway. And it’s LOL funny every time.)

While all of these falls are top-notch, we’d like to give some special shout-outs: Bikini-clad woman who faceplants on the pool runway and gets right back up like a champ, jump-rope-twirling lady who leaps off the runway apparently on purpose, and grandma who keeps strutting her stuff even as another woman wipes out behind her, we salute you all!

The Miss America Competition airs live Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. on ABC. 

AFV airs Sundays at 7 p.m. on ABC; the new season premieres Sunday, Oct. 11 on ABC.
