The Top 10 were revealed in a live two-hour broadcast of “American IdolMonday night. Host Ryan Seacrest called the Top 12 to the stage to perform on “Billboard #1 Hits Night,” mentored by Meghan Trainor. In a poll conducted just after the episode, we asked, “Which contestant gave the best performance of the night?” For the first time this season, Kayko came out on top with his rendition of “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye. Watch his full performance above.

After his performance, all three judges rushed the stage to give Kayko hugs out of excitement for his lively set. Luke Bryan said that “it worked” and Lionel Richie gave him three big “wow” exclamations.

Landing in the middle of the pack were McKenna Faith Breinholt (“Cardigan”) and Jack Blocker (“Blinding Lights”). Does this mean they’ll be safe on Sunday? Not necessarily, because votes are cast live once again this weekend based on the night’s performances, but at least they seem to have momentum.

If our online poll is accurate, that means the three artists most in danger of leaving Sunday are Emmy Russell (“Lose You to Love Me”), Mia Matthews (“Over You”) and Kaibrienne (“Wrecking Ball”). Will two of them be on the chopping block? Or are we in for a shocking surprise?

On Monday, April 29 the Top 8 perform one of three songs secretly selected by Luke, Katy and Lionel, who are each competing for most songs chosen. America votes live for the Top 6, and the judges make a save for the Top 7; plus, a special tribute to Idol alum Mandisa.
