Amber Johnston Marks Huge Career Milestone With Photos

Fans are applauding Amber Johnston after the reality TV personality shared that she had reached a major career milestone.

The 7 Little Johnstons star, who studied social work at Middle Georgia State University (MGA), shared her update in an Instagram post on Thursday, May 9.

“The day is finally here…MGA BSW Graduating Class of 2024!” her post said.

Amber’s five-part Instagram post began with a photo of her posing for a picture on campus with other members of her graduating class. Amber, 45, wore a light purple dress for the event in a possible nod to one of the university’s colors. She also shared a photo of this year’s bachelor of social work (BSW) pinning ceremony and one of herself standing beside her husband, Trent Johnston, at MGA.

A close-up image of Amber’s graduation cap and gown included in her post revealed that she had decorated her cap with the message, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” She added “BSW ’24” in one corner and decorated the edges of the cap with purple flowers.

Amber capped off her post with an adorable image in which she wore her cap and gown while holding her granddaughter Leighton, who turned 6 months old last week. The infant wore a purple onesie and purple shoes, matching her grandmother’s purple outfit and the purple 2024 tassel on her graduation cap.

Several of the mother-of-five’s fans left comments filled with graduation-themed emojis as they congratulated her on the achievement.

“Congrats!! 🥳👩🏼‍🎓🥳,” one fan wrote.

“Congratulations!👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎓,” an Instagram user commented.

“Congratulations! Beautiful pictures! I love your dress,” another fan said.

Amber initially teased her anticipated graduation ceremony on Instagram two months ago. In that March 9 post, she shared an image of her graduation cap as it had arrived before she’d had time to decorate it for the big ceremony.

“It’s getting real 🎓,” she wrote at the time, adding a "#theTasselisworththehassle" hashtag.
