New "AHS: Cult" Trailer Is Somehow the Creepiest

If the promo cycle for American Horror Story: Cult has shown fans anything, it's that everything will be perplexingly weird and nightmare-inducing, and only escalate in this regard. Case in point: the new trailer for Cult, which features killer clowns, creepy sacrificial? rituals, and a very relatable Sarah Paulson screaming her head off:

Clowns are cleeeearly having a moment in pop culture. (To actual clowns' detriment, alas.) But "thankfully," the twisted minds behind American Horror Story have decided that creepy clown masks aren't enough to scare viewers into tuning in.

So the full trailer has jump cuts aplenty, as well as a shot of Evan Peters (who's apparently getting an MVP role in this installment of the anthology). But it's Sarah Paulson, who as usual, plays the most relatable character. "Ivy [played by Alison Pill], did you hear that?" - and then bolting out the door.
