ABBA tribute band coming to River Raisin Centre for the Arts

MONROE — ABBAMania Canada will perform at 2 p.m. April 14 at the River Raisin Centre for the Arts, 114 S. Monroe St.

"ABBAMania is a fantastic and acclaimed ABBA tribute that appeals to audience members of all ages," said Claire Bechard, RRCA associate director.

ABBA is a Swedish pop group that began in the 1970s. ABBAMania's tribute performance will include many ABBA hits, including "Dancing Queen," "Take a Chance," "Money Money Money," "The Winner Takes it All" and "Waterloo," which was the Eurovision song contest winner in 1974.

"Our aim is for to you experience how a live concert would have felt all those years ago, bringing you the best in vocals, musicianship and musical arrangements," the band said. "This show has been running since 1999 and is the longest-running ABBA tribute concert in the world. We have worked meticulously to try to bring you the most accurate and authentic live ABBA concert possible. We wanted to capture the true essence, energy and excitement of what it would have been like to have experienced this truly wonderful band live in concert."
