Don't tell the folks freezing their tails off up north that February is one of the best months to be in Florida, not too hot, not too buggy and filled with fun stuff to do. Just look at this weekend, for instance, with two huge names in jazz performing outdoor shows, a Broadway blockbuster in town, a big-time comic stirring up the laughter and a local favorite showing off her latest songs.

And even if it does get a little chilly, odds are good you won't have to shovel your driveway to get there.

By the way, comedian Mike Birbiglia's show at the Florida Theatre, scheduled for Saturday evening, has been postponed to March 14.
