'MasterChef Junior' Sneak Peek: Judges Try to 'Destroy' Contestants

MasterChef Junior doesn’t make it easy for its contestants to earn immunity. Not content with making the 8-12 year old chefs do battle with each other, this week they have to go head-to-head against the superteam of Graham Elliot and Gordon Ramsay.

The kids are separated into pairs and given twelve minutes to make as many deviled eggs as possible. They get a six minute head start before Gordon and Graham step in and begin cracking, peeling, chopping, and scooping their eggs.

“They’re just going to destroy!” says Sam of the team of judges as they sprint to their station. Clearly age, experience, and physical dexterity are on their side. But with only half the time, some of the other teams have already moved on to making the filling for their eggs.

The kids may not even need the incentive of immunity to push extra hard this week. The main challenge is to create their future cookbook’s signature dish. As these tiny chefs continue to prove: It’s never too early to begin your legacy.

MasterChef Junior returns with a double episode Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
