Le Creuset launched in 1925 with its flame-colored, enameled, cast-iron cocotte. Since then, the company has been a favorite among amateur and professional chefs alike: It’s made its way onto the list of Oprah’s Favorite Things several times over the years, and even Julia Child was said to be a fan! Plus, all Le Creuset pieces come with a lifetime warranty, so you know it’s going to last you a while.

Although it wasn’t the brand’s first, the Dutch oven has become one of its classic pieces — if you’re like me, it’s one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Le Creuset. It’s perfect for meats, stews, chili, slow cooking and more. The stovetop and oven-friendly cast iron helps to cook meals evenly through.
The most heavily discounted Le Creuset Dutch oven at Wayfair is on the 1-quart size: It’s on sale for $124, down from $297. While a 1-quart might sound small, it’s perfect for those cooking for one — throw in a chicken thigh or quarter leg with some veggies and you have a meal.

However, if you want to make a little more, the dutch oven is also on sale in the 3.5-quart, 4.5-quart, 5.5-quart, 7.25-quart and 9-quart sizes. The 3.5-quart is 25 percent off (about $87 off) and can fit more than a few pieces of chicken. The 7.25-quart is 16 percent off (about $60 off) and can cook a whole chicken.
