If you've ever had to make spaghetti, you know how frustrating it can be to drain the noodles from a pot. It’s basically a balancing act to keep all the pasta inside while letting out the hot water. But the Kitchen Gizmo Snap N Strain Strainer wants to make that process easier.

Unlike most strainers, the Kitchen Gizmo strainer attaches directly onto your cookware, eliminating the need for you to take food out of the pot. You just clip on the strainer and tilt your pot or pan over the sink.

Shop: Kitchen Gizmo Snap N Strain Strainer, $16.99 (Orig. $29.99)

According to the product description, the strainer hooks onto “nearly all round pots, pans" as well as "big and small bowls." You can leave it on while cooking or use it when it's time to strain your food. The two side clips firmly cling to the side of any pot, which makes it perfect for straining heavy foods.

And although it’s silicone, it's BPA-free and heat-resistant! So if you’re looking to strain boiling pasta or potatoes, this should be able to hold up.

For the most part, we really can't find a downside to this product, and neither can many Amazon shoppers. The strainer currently has more than 1,800 five-star reviews, making it the No. 2 best-selling strainer on Amazon.

One reviewer even pointed out that the strainer is a "must-have" item.

"This makes it so much easier to dump out water when making pasta of any type. Fits very well to most sized pans and dishwasher safe. My 9 yr old granddaughter can now dump the water out of the Mac and cheese easily. This is a must have for people who make Pastas of any kind that require dumping out hot water. It is made out of a type of rubber so I’m not sure if I would use it for hot grease, but it may be ok for that too since a lot of spatulas etc are made from similar material"
