DENVER (KDVR) — “Sasquatch Sunset” is a buzzed-about film, directed by brothers who were raised in Greeley.

In an exclusive interview, Daybreak anchor Chris Parente sat down with the brothers and the high-profile star of the movie, Jesse Eisenberg.

The movie is bold and over the top, and not a single word is uttered during the entire film.

Eisenberg told Chris that transforming into Bigfoot was no easy task, with hours spent in the makeup chair.

“We have talked about that, the costumes were really hot, but because the movie is so funny, we were able to get through it,” said Eisenberg.

And though Eisenberg was limited to grunts and expressions, he said that didn’t diminish the power of what he could convey.

“The characters did feel really human, in some ways more human than other characters we’ve played that are actually human,” he said.

2 the Theatre: ‘MJ the Musical’ is the ultimate thriller

However, Chris says the film isn’t for everyone. It’s crude, it’s vulgar, and it’s more of a poem or an art piece than an actual film.  And yet, Chris says the film may be the most inventive of the year.

He’s giving “Sasquatch Sunset” 3.5 out of 5 “Parentes.”

The film is rated R and is in theaters today.
