'Days of Our Lives' Stars Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols' Adorable Instagram Takeover
Patch and Kayla 4-EVA! As Days of Our Lives' 50th anniversary approaches on Nov. 8, the venerable daytime drama is bringing back one of the show's most beloved characters: Steve "Patch" Johnson, portrayed by Stephen Nichols. Patch makes his return on Friday, Aug. 28, and to celebrate Nichols and long-time co-star Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) took over Yahoo TV's Instagram for a day, flooding it with images that will make fans issue a collective, " Awwwwww...."

Nichols and Evans are clearly happy to be working together again, and it looks like Nichols's six-year absence from the show has not diminished the duo's chemistry. That said, when Patch returns, "He's not welcomed at all, by anyone — least of all by Kayla," the actor told TV Insider.
