The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health confirmed its first case of Zika on Thursday, after a Clark County resident's blood tested positive for the virus. Doctors believe the resident - a man whose name and age is being withheld for privacy - contracted Zika during a trip to Guatemala back in February.

He showed up in a Clark County medical facility shortly after returning from the trip complaining of a fever, rash, red eyes, and muscle pain - all hallmarks of the Zika virus. The Nevada local adds one more case to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's 273 instances of travel-associated Zika viruses in the United States.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed a link between Zika infections and birth defects as well as miscarriages. Zika can also be spread through sexual activity. So let's just hope this guy stays off Tinder for the time being.
