Trump Makes False Claims About Illegal Voting
For someone who claims to be extremely confident in his presidential victory, Donald Trump sure has a lot to say about Hillary Clinton and Jill Stein's joint efforts to file for recounts in several states this past week.
Over the weekend, the president-elect took to Twitter to rant over the news, calling the Green Party a "scam" before criticizing Democrats for not quietly accepting the results of the election.
The Green Party scam to fill up their coffers by asking for impossible recounts is now being joined by the badly defeated & demoralized Dems

The Democrats, when they incorrectly thought they were going to win, asked that the election night tabulation be accepted. Not so anymore!

Trump then went on to criticize Clinton in particular, implying she was being hypocritical after she'd said it was "horrifying" when Trump refused to say he'd peacefully concede if he lost the election during the debates. (This criticism is arguably hypocritical in itself given that Trump openly admitted he would have done the same if he were in her position, and there was proof of possible hacking or voter discrepancies.)
Hillary Clinton conceded the election when she called me just prior to the victory speech and after the results were in. Nothing will change

Trump is going to be our President. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead." So much time and money will be spent - same result! Sad

Trump then decided to switch tactics and turned to one of his favorite conspiracy theories - implying the election was rigged and falsely claiming that he would have won the popular vote if it weren't for the "millions" of illegal ballots that were cast Nov. 8.
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally

Of course, there is no evidence to back up the president-elect's claims of mass voter fraud or illegal voting. In fact, there was only one person charged with voting twice in the 2016 election - and she voted for Trump.
Nonetheless, the president-elect doubled down on his claims that he "would have won even more easily and convincingly" if the Electoral College were abolished and the election's results were instead based on the popular vote.
It would have been much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or 4--

states instead of the 15 states that I visited. I would have won even more easily and convincingly (but smaller states are forgotten)!

But not to take away from his core message, Trump then turned back to his (false) claims of "serious voter fraud" and the "serious bias" of the media for not reporting on it. He does not offer proof of this alleged voter fraud - but does, as Esquire's Dave Holmes puts it, "undermine his followers' faith in our democracy and [does] irreparable damage to our country on his way to the White House."
Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California - so why isn't the media reporting on this? Serious bias - big problem!
