Starbucks Is Stocking Pumpkin Spice Sauce Already

It may be blisteringly hot in much of the United States still, but that isn't stopping Starbucks from apparently gearing up for Pumpkin Spice Latte season (aka autumn) in... August. It's still August, the northern hemisphere is in the thick of the dog days of summer, but Starbucks employees are already receiving shipments of Pumpkin Spice sauce.

As catalogued on Reddit's r/Starbucks board, employees are posting pics of the saucy stuff. Alas, word on the street is that while the sauce is in, it won't be dispensed to anyone - not even if you ask really, really nicely - until September 5.

From poster @depsdeps15: "It's here."

@AppKerman has a more wary take: "It's coming. God help us all."

Poster @catheadtornado shared, "So we have pumpkin spice now...and I'm pretty pumped. Anyone else have PS super early?" One response: "We have it, but a note everyone in case they aren't aware - we CANNOT sell it until September 5th. Please don't be the other Starbucks."

@madertheinvader kept their comment short and simple: "😓"

And @lukavwolf called on Norse mythology to get through the sure-to-come PSL rush: "Odin have mercy on us all..."

(Meanwhile, McDonald's has started serving up their PSL in August itself. Ante, upped.)
