Martha Raddatz Won the Second Presidential Debate

From Cosmopolitan

Despite both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump getting very personal with their attacks against one another at the second presidential debate on Sunday, moderator Martha Raddatz has emerged the night’s clear winner.

Throughout the debate, Raddatz consistently held both candidates accountable when asking questions, and would often guide them back to the topic at hand if they strayed. She was also incredibly engaging and relentless with both Clinton and Trump, asking follow-up questions to clarify their responses and to ensure that they were specific about their plans if elected president.

As the New York Times describes it, alongside co-moderator Anderson Cooper, she "posed blunt, provocative questions at a forum that typically feels more like public broadcasting than cable news." She was confident, authoritative, and incredibly knowledgable about all the topics discussed.

Raddatz was also firm when the audience broke its "no applause or cheering" rule, and consistently cut off both candidates when they went over their time limits. In fact, her performance was so solid throughout the debate that she ended up earning quite a few new fans by the time the night was over.
