Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez Spend Time Together Over the Weekend, Bring an Abrupt End to Those 'Nasty Divorce' Rumors

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are making nice for their wee ones.
The divorcing duo was back together over the weekend to take Halle’s 7-year-old daughter, Nahla, to a birthday party. While they were said to be in a nasty divorce and custody battle, things looked pleasant as they were photographed in a car together on Saturday. The French actor, 49, was driving, the X-Men actress, also 49, was in the passenger seat, and they brought the girl to a get-together in Woodland Hills, California, photographs showed.
That little shiny spot over the steering wheel is Martinez’s wedding ring. Yep, he’s still wearing it despite filing for divorce last month. We can’t see Halle’s hands in the photo, but we already know that she stopped wearing her wedding band — and her stunning emerald engagement ring is now a distant memory.

“They acted friendly and seemed okay,” a source — probably the paparazzo — told People.com. “They keep spending family time together and seem to get along."
Meanwhile, another source — probably his publicist — said he is "very happy that he and Halle are able to keep a good relationship. They want to make the divorce as painless as possible for the kids.”
The kids are what makes this whole mini reunion interesting. We can see them reuniting for something related to their son — Maceo, 2 — but, as we noted, they were spending time with Berry’s daughter from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.

Berry making nice with Martinez comes at a time when another of her exes, first husband David Justice, is speaking out about their divorce, which took place more than two decades ago. After he took to social media last week to clear his name, he gave an interview to People to speak about it further.
“For so many years, there has been this cloud upon the guys who were associated with Halle back then,“ he told the mag. "Halle has said that she was in abusive relationships but she didn’t name who the abuser was, so for many years I know a lot of people thought it was me.”
In posting to social media, “All I was trying to do was let the world know that David Justice is not the person who hit her on her head and caused her hearing loss. Not only did David Justice not do that, David Justice never hit her, period,” he said. (Yes, he speaks in the third person. Sigh.)
Anyway, this has been quite an interesting weekend for celebrity exes spending time together. Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian, who filed for divorce in January after 15 years of marriage, were photographed holding hands and riding bicycles in Europe.
