Halle Berry's Ring Finger Is Bare Once Again

The gloves are off in Halle Berry’s divorce from Olivier Martinez — and now the rings are too.
The X-Men actress, 49, stepped out Wednesday without any symbols of her love for the first time since her divorce filing last month. With her wavy locks worn down, the smiling star was running errands in Los Angeles and that finger was as bare as a baby’s bum.
For Berry, that finger has a rich history when it comes to jewelry. After all, the Academy Award winner has been married three times. But this marriage especially.
In the “good times” phase of the relationship with Martinez, the French actor presented Berry — with whom he has a son, Maceo — with an emerald and two diamonds on a yellow-gold setting in 2012. The ring designer, Robert Mazlo, described it as a “one-of-a-kind piece” and noted that it “cannot be replaced.” He also revealed that instead of an inscription, it contained codes and symbols that only its wearer can understand, which “symbolizes the couple’s story.”

In other words, fancy stuff. And when they were married in 2013, the amount of hardware on her finger grew with the addition of a complementary wedding band that was yellow-gold and simple in design with no gemstones.
Maybe it should have been a sign? While in Mexico in 2014, Berry lost her irreplaceable engagement ring. Here is the last time she was photographed wearing it — during on a visit to Teleton Crit, a facility that treats children with neuro-muscular challenges on Jan. 30, 2014.

According to her camp, getting a new ring wasn’t a priority. So at first she steppedout with just her wedding band.

She also often went without a ring, prompting rumors of trouble.

Over the summer, she started wearing this gold ring, which is a different ring altogether.

Earlier this week, Berry made her first red carpet appearance since the split news and she confused everyone further by wearing another ring. This one, a cocktail ring, was silver and studded. She also wore it Wednesday night at Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Imagine Benefit.

Going forward, we may never see Berry with an engagement or wedding band again. She previously vowed that she would never remarry — this was before wedding number three — so she may really, truly be done this time. But you can never say never with Halle.
