Today marks two years since then-14-year-olds Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos went missing after taking a small fishing boat out off the coast of Florida’s Jupiter Inlet. When the boat was found stranded 100 miles off the coast of Bermuda months later, investigators began looking into foul play in regard to their disappearance. Now, Perry’s mom, Pamela, has filed a lawsuit alleging Austin’s father, mother, grandfather, and stepfather are responsible for the boys' disappearance, the Palm Peach Post reports.

William “Blu” Stephanos, Carlson Black, Richard Black Jr., and Richard Kuntz were named as defendants in the suit, in which Cohen accused them of all knowing the boys were going deep-sea fishing that stormy day despite the fact she “expressly prohibited” Perry from going.

In response, Stephanos released a statement via his attorney to CBS 12:

Michael Pike, the attorney for Austin's father Blu Stephanos said he was disappointed and refuted the allegations made by [Cohen’s attorney] Mr. Rubin, saying his client didn't know the boys were going out fishing on that tragic day and that his son was in the custody of his mother at the time, with whom Blu was divorced for many years. In fact, Blu was scheduled to have Austin for the weekend before tragedy struck. Blu Stephanos was not negligent in any manner, and was not the owner of the vessel. Despite Mr. Rubin's comments, Blu Stephanos was out searching for the boys by boat and by helicopter, an area spanning from Florida to Georgia.
