Cathriona White’s Death Certificate Lists Her Cause of Death as ‘Deferred’

According to her death certificate, obtained by The Insider With Yahoo, the cause of death for Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, had yet to be officially determined.

The Los Angeles County death certificate, on which her name is misspelled, lists White’s immediate cause of death as “deferred.” It states that an autopsy was performed.

White, who had been dating Jim Carrey up until a few days before her death, was found dead at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, on Sept. 28. It was reported at the time that White, 30, was believed to have died by suicide.

Though White had been dating Carrey on and off since 2012, she was legally married to Mark Burton at the time of her death and thus he is listed as the informant.

On the death certificate, the coroner writes that the official cause of White’s death remains under investigation.

White was laid to rest over the weekend in her native Ireland. Carrey was on hand and served as a pallbearer. On Sunday, the day after the funeral, Carrey tweeted a photo of the two in silhouette, writing, “Love cannot be lost.”
