Breaking: Adele Goes Grocery Shopping
Just because she’s one of the biggest stars on the planet doesn’t mean Adele can’t enjoy life’s simple pleasures — like loading up on groceries. (OK, so the actual shopping process might not be a pleasure, but having a fully stocked fridge most definitely is.) On Thursday, the 28-year-old songstress braved the rain to hit up Ralph’s in Studio City, Calif., where she filled her cart to the brim. Sadly, the paper bags masked what goodies were inside, though it did appear that she’d purchased at least one box of cereal.
She kept it real in a baggy white coat with her hair pulled back in a loose ponytail and not a stitch of makeup on. In other words, she looked exactly like the rest of us when we go on a grocery run.
Adele recently completed 107 live concerts in 10 months, so she’s earned a little break (though she still has a few more tour dates coming up). It seems that she’s already gearing up for the next chapter, however, which (in addition to cooking at home) includes expanding her family. Last October, while performing at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, she admitted, “My son is about to turn 4 very, very soon. I’m starting to get very emotional about it because I feel like once they turn 4, they’re not really your actual baby anymore. So my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby.'” She added that she was not yet pregnant and promised not to get pregnant until the end of the tour — but she still had baby on the brain.
A month later, she told the audience at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix that she was “off to have another baby,” and she seemed pretty serious about it. This would be the second child for the “Hello” singer and her longtime love, Simon Konecki. The previously mentioned 4-year-old boy, Angelo, is also theirs. It’s worth noting that Angelo’s banner-making skills are on-point.

Maybe Adele’s recent trip to the grocery store has something to do with nesting, or maybe it just has to do with wanting to be able to eat without changing out of pajamas, but one thing we do know is that Adele and Mariah Carey are very, very different. ICYMI, this is how Mariah hits the grocery store:
Yes, those are stilettos. Yes, those are five people assisting her. And yes, there’s not exactly a cartful. We’d rather go grocery shopping with Adele.
