Amy Schumer memorably joked last June that she could “catch a d**k” anytime she wants, but the truth is that she’s taken.

The comedian shared a photo Tuesday captioned, “Fam and man at the whitehizzy.” The image showed her standing alongside handsome beau Ben Hanisch, her younger sister Kim Caramele, and her older brother Jason Stein, on the kind of trip where you don’t bring someone who’s just a fling.

The Schumer party was in Washington, D.C., as President Obama announced plans to expand background checks of people seeking to purchase guns. While Schumer might seem an odd fit for that subject, she’s been vocal about advocating for stronger gun control laws since a gunman opened fire, killing two audience members and injuring nine others, during a screening of her hit movie Trainwreck last July in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Just as telling is a photo that Hanisch shared of the two on New Year’s Day.

“Sometimes in life you get extremely lucky, and the smartest, funniest, most beautiful woman comes along when you least expect it. Here’s to what adventures 2016 brings!” he captioned it.

The funny lady couldn’t resist posting this comment: “I’m pregnant. I didn’t know how else to tell you.”

People reported that Schumer is “so, so happy” with her new love and even has the approval of her sister, according to a source. “She calls him her boyfriend and says he constantly tells her how pretty, sexy and perfect she is. She feels like she hit the jackpot.”

Hanisch, 29, is the founder of Chicago-based custom furniture company The Last Workshop. While not much else is known about him, the presumption is that he’s pretty special to have pinned down Schumer. The 34-year-old actress/writer/producer has been in extreme demand following the success of her rom-com.

Just last month, Barbara Walters named Schumer to her list of the Most Fascinating People of 2015. Walters asked Schumer on the TV special where she expects to be in 10 years and heard all about her career goals, but nothing about being married or having children.

“I would love those things, but I don’t really see it for myself,” Schumer answered. “I hope that happens, but I don’t know how realistic it is.”

The same day that Schumer seemed to confirm that she’s coupled up — if only for now — her close friend Jennifer Lawrence sounded off on her own love life.

“I don’t, like, date a lot,” Lawrence told Glamour. “I don’t meet a lot of guys who I want to go on a date with. I’ll find a guy attractive maybe once a year. But I’m not a lonely person. Me not dating someone is not a lack of anything in any way. I feel completely fulfilled. Yes, when I spark with someone, it’s exciting. But I definitely don’t need that.”

Lawrence also quipped that she and Schumer would like to retire together.

“Amy’s always wanted to live on Martha’s Vineyard, and we saw this house, and we’re like, ‘This is where we’re gonna Grey Gardens, and we’re gonna grow old and crazy together,’” Lawrence said. “That’s our life plan.”
