YB Loves: The Overachieving Primer
No matter if you’re painting a wall or a face, starting with primer will result in a smoother, more even-toned final result. In fact, it’s better than good—it’s great. The Blur + Illuminate iteration of Maybelline’s new range straddles the line between skin care and makeup. Just a thin coat of this slightly pink formula leaves your face looking—and feeling—smooth, bright, and practically devoid of pores. You can wear it under makeup as a primer, over makeup as a highlighter, or all by itself for a natural-but-noticeable glow. It’s the only face makeup I’ve worn for most of 2015 and—especially considering it contains SPF 30—I’ve been feeling pretty darn good about it.
