YB Loves: The Pefect Non-Sticky Lipgloss

Full disclosure: I am not a lipgloss girl.  I tend to think that most women are either Team Lipgloss or Team Lipstick—and I, for one, am most certainly the latter. I’ve tried enough lipglosses to know they don’t all have the same sticky formula that turned me off in the first place. But, I’ve also tried enough to know that finding one that doesn’t can feel like searching for a needle in haystack.

So, when I say that Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-In-Oil ($32) is the best of the bunch, please know my praise doesn’t come lightly. Sure, it’s not technically a lip gloss (which is probably why I was willing to try it in the first place), but it is applied with a wand and does have many lip gloss-like benefits. With one coat it provides a wash of luminous color that gives lips extra dimension and shine. Apply a second coat and your lips will practically sparkle, while the tint will intensify and become more opaque. But the real kicker here is that this stuff just isn’t sticky—like, you can wear it on a windy day without any issues. So, while I’m not sure you’ll ever catch me without a lipstick within reach, from now on, you’ll find multiple tubes of these little guys in my makeup bag, too.
