This Woman Got the Cops Involved in Telling Her Husband She’s Pregnant

Parenthood is one of the best things to happen to a married couple, especially those who want to hear the pitter-patter of little feet in their homes. One Texas man, however, got a slight scare and then the surprise of his life when his wife coordinated a prank pull-over scheme with the police to announce their little bundle of joy.

Jarred Wright and his wife, Nikki Rock, were driving along in the city of Hurst when officers familiar to the couple pulled over their car. With Nikki filming the entire ordeal, Jarred, a U.S. Army veteran, greeted his associate and then was told he was being pulled over for having a child in the car without a car seat. Nikki then pulls out a pregnancy test and holds it out in front of her cellphone camera.

While Jarred laughs off the officer’s suggestion that there’s a phantom child in the car, the officer signals over toward his wife, and Jarred’s face says it all. Shyly, he takes the test while the officers congratulates the family and hands over a gift bag that had Jarred smiling from ear to ear. In the conclusion of the clip, Jarred mentions to his wife that he’s happy after she asks how he feels.

The clip has since gone viral, and that might actually be a big help to the Wright family. Jarred was a soldier who fought in Afghanistan in 2013-14 during Operation Enduring Freedom. In a GoFundMe campaign, Jarred and Nikki are reaching out for financial assistance with their upcoming family addition. Jarred mentioned in the GoFundMe post that he suffers from PTSD and other ailments acquired during his time away at war.

So far the Wrights have raised $960 of a $2,000 goal.
