Woman Embraces Grays in Epic Hair Transformation

Unicorn hair is just about everywhere, and folks are bleaching their manes to embrace rainbow-hued locks. It's a long process that yields gorgeous results, but one particular hair transformation we spied on Instagram is inspiring us right now in a major way.
San Francisco hairstylist Rachel Stefanik posted a video to her Instagram page showing an amazing dye job she did on a client with gorgeous gray hair. Stefanik explains that her client hadn't had her hair colored in 25 years. It's clear that after such a long time, she was ready to go bold... really bold.
The video shows parts of the process, from the client's original gray mane to when Stefanik applies the color, which includes deep purple shades and matching highlights. But possibly the best part about this hair transformation, is that Stefanik left some of the grays out, letting her client's natural color shine.
"I incorporated some of her natural into the painting because it was just so pretty," she wrote. "I was seriously so stoked to have that as my canvas! I had to leave some pieces out especially those natural highlights around her face!"
And we love it, too. The gray leave-out is a nice touch to this unicorn mane, and it shows that you can embrace bold color and your grays at the same time.
