What's In My Gym Bag: Nicole Winhoffer, Creator of The NW Method

We’re taking a peek inside our favorite health and fitness experts’ gym bags to uncover their must-have gear and favorite products.

Name: Nicole Winhoffer, New York City-based fitness instructor, creator of The NW™ Method, and former trainer for Madonna

My workout: I teach NW™ Method at 440 Studios (in New York City), and I also work out every day at Equinox.

My favorite workout: My favorite workout is my method! I invented The NW™ Method after years of performing on-stage with the best entertainers. It frees you mentally and it empowers you through movement in the dark. I take a cue from acupuncture, and have clients focus on the three major problem areas of the body: behind the arms, the waist, and the buttocks. The 55-minute workout works every muscle in the body and is done on the beat of each unique song.  The purpose is to have the most time-effective, challenging workout that’s also fun, shocks the body, and opens the mind to connect you with your personal power.

What’s in my gym bag:

  1. Adidas by Stella McCartney bra and shorts.

  2. Stan Smiths, and Adidas by Stella McCartney sneakers.

  3. Adidas by Stella McCartney weights.

  4. NARS bronzer, makes me tan and gives me a good glow.

  5. Maybelline Great Lash mascara accentuates my eyes.

  6. Tom Ford highlighter, glow!

  7. FIJI water to keep me hydrated.

  8. STIX seaweed snacks are a light, quick snack that has iron and magnesium, replenishes the body, and prevents me from going crazy at meals.

  9. Plantain chips. They have more fat, so I eat them when I need something more substantial.
