This New Urban Decay App Is Like Tinder for Lipsticks
There's nothing quite like coveting a new shade of lipstick, only to find out that it doesn't suit you at all once you get it. Luckily, cult makeup brand Urban Decay wants to help, and their newest app totally takes the guesswork out of buying the perfect color.
The Vice Lipstick app is essentially Tinder for makeup: You upload a picture of yourself, then Urban Decay automatically applies every shade of lipstick in its arsenal for you to choose from by swiping right or left. The app includes all 100 shades from the brand's new line, Vice, and you can categorize them by color family or finish. It's easy, fun, and will definitely keep you busy for hours.
At the moment, the app isn't perfect - it didn't recognize my face in multiple pictures, sometimes it didn't alter my picture at all for several colors of lipstick, and sometimes it just flat-out guessed that my nose and eyeball were my lips - but when it did work, it was great to play around with. The app is proof that the future of makeup is here.
