Too Faced Teases Peel-Off Face Mask

Jarrod Blandino, the co-founder of Too Faced, posted a sneak peek at an unexpected upcoming launch from the cosmetics company.

Every other day, a sneak peek of a new palette seems to pop up on Jerrod Blandino's Instagram. However, Too Faced's co-founder gave his coveted #sneakypeek at something we've never seen from the popular cosmetics company before. In a black-and-white video, a woman can be seen smoothing on a face mask and later peeling it off. In true Too Faced fashion, the mask in question is packed with glitter. It's almost like the skin-care version of the Glitter Bomb Palette that I never knew I needed.

Blandino's accompanying caption reads, "#tfsneakypeek I'm working on something beyond Magical to make your skin Glow! #WeLiveInGlitter #GlitterMakesYouPretty #youveneverseenanythinglikethis" He's right with that last hashtag. I've never seen a face mask that glimmers like that. Sure, GlamGlow and I Dew Care have metallic face masks, but those masks have more of a foil finish. Too Faced's mask is more like the most glittery lip gloss you can find — except you can slather it on your face and reap the benefits of a face mask. Wow, I never thought I'd write about skin care in such makeup-related terms.

This Too Faced sneak peek is so unexpected that someone in the comments wrote, "Why do I think this is a prank and she's applying a glitter glue?" Most of the skin-care related posts that appear on Blandino's feed involve him doing Madonna's magnetic face mask or recommending his favorite products. I never imagined one of the products the self-professed "skin-care junkie" was touting would be one of his own creations, though.

Blandino might have hinted at the mask back in May with a video of a gilded concoction. We've yet to see a Too Faced product that looks like it, so the mask could have been on our radar for the past three months without us even knowing it. Even though the mask video was black and white, this looks pretty similar, right?

Too Faced's makeup is also formulated with skin-loving ingredients like cocoa and fig. The whole Chocolate collection was even inspired by a facial Blandino once got. With that in mind, I should have known this mask was coming. Alas, my excitement and shock for the future of Too Faced's skin-care line is very real.
