Three in One: Omorovicza Refining Facial Polisher

I’m a beauty editor, so I’m bombarded with new gimmick after empty promise all day long. Spa waters from Budapest? OK, but is it really that different from spa waters from New Jersey? The real reason I tried Omorovicza’s Refining Facial Polisher is because my skin’s been having a rough time—and there’s nothing I won’t try. Also, I liked the color.

I was told to rub the gel into my dry skin, with my makeup and everything from the day still on there, and wait two minutes before rinsing with warm water. It sounded crazy, but I did it. At first, it feels like your average exfoliator. Pulverized pumice stones exfoliate dead skin cells. But then it turns into a clay mask. The dark forest green turns the color of artificial mint and dries up, like it’s sucking out all the oil. When I rinsed it off, my face felt spectacularly clean, but not squeaky. And not nearly as dry as it normally does post-clay. I slathered on moisturizer and woke up to a real glow the next morning. IF you’re looking for something to do tripe duty—cleanse, exfoliate, absorb excess oil—without drying you out, add this to your fall shopping list.
